Last year I found out what South Africa has to offer with Kirker Holidays.
Cape Town is set between Table Mountain and the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's the oldest city in South Africa with cobblestone streets, colourful street markets and excellent shops and restaurants. On the main tourist trail are sights such as Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, and the incomparable Table Mountain and its cable cars.
From Cape Town east to Port Elizabeth lies an area of extraordinary scenic beauty. Tranquil winelands give way to craggy mountains, small bays and golden beaches, towering cliffs and primeval forests of the Garden Route. The scenery is amazing and the wine tasting superb!
Our magnificent journey continued to Hermanus with its wonderful bay where whale watching takes place between June and November.
The last stop of this whistlestop tour was Addo National Park at Port Elizabeth staying at the Gorah Elephant Camp. Home to the 'Big Five' and situated in the malaria-free zone of the Eastern Cape, Addo has the highest density of elephants on the planet. South Africa is blessed with a stunning diversity of scenery, long hot summer days, warmer winter ones and some of the finest wildlife anywhere in the world.
